Dolores has been a role model and fighter for many people – Latinos, women, workers, LGBT people, farmworkers, and immigrants. We want to ensure the legacy of Dolores Huerta, one of the most passionate civil rights leaders of our time, will be sustained for the benefit of other aspiring activists. 32nd Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards

The Mayor’s Arts Awards are the most prestigious honors conferred by the District on individual artists, teachers and nonprofit organizations. At the public awards ceremony in September, three individuals will be recognized as special honorees. Wilhelmina Cole Holladay, co-founder of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, will receive the Mayor’s Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement. Ari Roth, artistic director of Mosaic Theatre Company, will receive the Mayor’s Arts Award for Visionary Leadership. Jazz musician and educator Davey Yarborough will receive the Mayor’s Arts Award for Distinguished Honor.
Dialogue on Diversity: 2017 Entrepreneurship /IT Conference

H Street Festival

H Street Festival is one of the most anticipated and highly attended single day festivals in Washington D.C. The festival is 11 blocks long and has 14 staging areas that are diversely themed and programmed to target the different segments of audiences. Fiesta DC Latino Festival has been held each year in Washington DC for forty-five years. It is an annual celebration of Latino culture that features a Parade of Nations that displays and preserves the Native Latino cultural dance troupes as well as contemporary local groups from civic organizations, schools, and performers.
